Week 4

 Assalamualaikum and Hi!

In Tuesday class, we learned a new chapter which is Organizational Strategy, Competitive Advantage, and Information Systems. More theories.. mengantuk lah sikit huhu 😅 Dr mentioned the four elements which are data, information, knowledge, and wisdom. 

Data has no meaning, it is just raw data. Information is meaningful. Knowledge has a context which means the different situations, and lastly wisdom.We also learned about the theory of diffusion of innovation (product adoption). each individual or organization might be different in product adoption. 

the innovators = tech enthusiasts

early adopter = visionaries

early majority = pragmatist

late majority = conservatives 

laggards = skeptics

Then, we learned about the organisational chart because each job position in the organizational chart needs a different information system. 

We also learned about business functional areas. Dr said each function in an organisation cannot stand alone.. (Dr will continue teaching about this next week) ✋ Regarding Google Digital Garage.. I have already done 17/26 modules.. I thought I need to finish the GDG earlier since after this we are going to be busy doing our FYP. I want to finish it before mid-semester so that I can focus on other assignments and also FYP.. 

During our lab session, we discussed submission dates and also marks allocated for the assignments. Then, we learned on how to build website using Wix.com. We need develop CV using Wix.com. I am totally impressed with this application since the theme is so nice.. not only that, i think it is quite easy to understand on how to edit the template. not too complicated lah.. Also can refer to videos on youtube for tutorial if get stuck on how to edit the website. 

Still got a lot to improve.. to edit.. but i love this theme :)) simple but nice (at least in my point of view, hahah). Dr also asked us to brainstorm and make draft of questions to ask the owner of business during online meeting with them. We will discuss about this later and set up vdate for online meeting with Mctapau Ipoh soon... ok bye!!! 💨
