Week 5

 Assalamualaikum and Hi.

In yesterday's class, we learned a new chapter about Information systems within the Organization.. Dr also shared about the leapfrogging effects. Leapfrogging is areas that have poorly-developed technology or economic bases that can move forward rapidly through the adoption of modern systems without going through intermediary steps. Dr highlighted three reasons why digitalization occur; 

1. internet revolution
2. networking
3. individualism

Besides that, Dr shared about the product life cycle. Even the different innovation has been developed, every product or service will undergo all stages in product life cycle.

We learned about the business process. As long as it comprises of three elements which are input, resources, and outputs, then it is considered as business process. Business processes are correlated with information systems as information system can improvise and make business process more effective. Next, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems which defined as systems designed to correct a lack of communication among the functional area Information System and they adopt a business process view of the overall organization to integrate the planning, management, and use of all of an organization’s resources, employing a common software platform and database (based on lecture notes). Dr also talked about Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Business Process Improvement (BPI).

For lab session, Dr asked updates on CIP-UPM meeting with the client. As for my group, we have already conducted Google Meet with the owner of Mctapau Ipoh 👇👇

Also, we shared our Wix CV. I still have a lot to improve, especially for the skills and design. I need to refer back all the sinopsis kursus (specifically yang ada lab) and update in this virtual CV as my skills. Here is my virtual CV updates on Wix since I cannot share screen last session:
